Sunday 2nd April – The Roy Ure Tankard

17 played in our first trophy of the summer season, the Roy Ure Tankard, a Stableford played from the white tees. Gus Macleod, having played some superb golf to dominate the Winter sweeps, continued his fine form to win by 6 points from his nearest challengers.

Sunday 26th March – Yellow Tees Stableford

17 played in our first Sunday competition under British Summer Time, a Stableford from the yellow tees and a counter for handicap purposes. Most took full advantage of the fine conditions and scoring was exceptionally good in the top half of the leaderboard. A level par round was only good enough for 6th place!

Danny Head returned a 2 at the 14th, Stan Rainey did likewise at the 4th and David Brookens went one better by scoring a 2 at the 13th and again at the 17th.
